Confirmation and Eucharist for Children, Teens and Adults
Baptized children in grade 2 or above who have been baptized are invited to participate in a fun, age appropriate program designed to not only prepare children for the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist, but also to fully integrate them into the life of the Church and parish community.
If we are able to meet in person, Sacramental Preparation for children will run in three groups. Two groups will meet on alternating Sundays and the third will meet after school on every other Tuesday. Please examine the tentative schedule below and register for the class that best fits your family’s calendar. Please note that you are encouraged to make up any missed classes by joining one of the other groups. These sessions will begin in September and run throughout winter. Please complete the appropriate registration form and return it to Michele Lassiter email@example.com before September 7, 2020.
There will be two Parent Meetings in the Parish Center Antonian Room – parents must attend one: Sunday, September 12, 2020 at 12:30 pm Tuesday, September 16, 2020 at 6:30 pm
Youth and Adults who want to receive Confirmation Only
Individuals, both youth and adults, who have come into the diocese from other areas where Confirmation is still celebrated several years after First Eucharist are invited to prepare for Confirmation through a special renewal program which emphasizes the unity of the three Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. A program schedule will be created as needed. Please complete the registration form and return it to Michele Lassiter before September 7, 2020.
A NOTE REGARDING COVID-19
The schedule and plan listed above assumes we will be able to meet together in person this fall. There is a plan in the works for an online model for Sacramental Preparation. Parent meetings would be held via Zoom and there would likely be a live video component that follows the schedules listed below. Please register as soon as possible and opt in for the text reminders to receive the most up to date information regarding possible changes.
