Baptism at St. Aloysius Church

St. Aloysius Parish joyfully welcomes all parents and families!

You are a blessing to our community. Parents who wish to bring their child (up to age 7) to the Sacrament of Baptism will find support and encouragement here, including Baptismal preparation sessions that focus on the symbols and parent intentions for Baptism.

St. Aloysius schedules Baptism weekends several times throughout the year. These enable the entire parish community to witness the celebration, welcome these children into the Church, and support the parents in their desire to bring their children to fullness in Christ. The two Baptism preparation sessions for parents take place in the two weeks preceding the baptism weekend.

May & June 2020 baptisms have been cancelled and all other dates are tentative. It is hard to say at this time when Baptisms might resume. We have a plan for parish baptisms that would allow one family at a time to celebrate on a scheduled date. Water will be drained between each Baptism, and the Sacred Chrism will be in clean, separate vessels for each family.

When we resume, parent preparation sessions will be held via Zoom.

There will be NO private/separate baptism dates scheduled at this time.
