Meet the new Jesuit Volunteers

These young men and women will be serving throughout the Spokane area as part of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for 2020-2021. Please give them a warm welcome when you cross paths with them!

Alayna Bowlin (she/her) is excited to be serving as a JV AmeriCorps member with Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington – St. Margaret’s shelter as a Resident Vocational Coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, running, drinking coffee, and being outside. She is excited to get to know everyone and to continue expanding her worldview.

 

 

Ali Deambrosio (she/her) enjoys walking outside, learning and listening to new music, traveling, and sharing a good meal with good friends. Ali studied Communication with an emphasis in Film Production and Political Science. She is incredibly passionate about sustainability and worked as the Zero-Waste intern at Santa Clara University. Ali is dedicated to making the world a more just, joyful, and sustainable place. She is incredibly excited to take her passions to Spokane, WA to serve as the Community Food Resource Specialist JV AmeriCorps member with Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington – Food for All.

 

 

Quinn Gonzales (she/her) grew up in Portland, Oregon with her mom, dad, older brother, younger brother, and younger sister. At Santa Clara University, she majored in Public Health Science, minored in Biology and Education, and studied abroad in Copenhagen in the Fall of 2019. She is passionate about breaking down barriers to affordable housing, education, and healthcare. This past summer, she had the opportunity to conduct action research in Fort Portal, Uganda with KadAfrica, a social enterprise that economically empowers out of school women through passion fruit farming. Quinn is excited to be serving as the Resident Client Coordinator JV AmeriCorps Member with Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington – House of Charity.

 

 

Addison Jeske (he/him) is originally from Olympia, WA and studied Economics and Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He is excited to be serving as the Legal Programs Coordinator with the Volunteer Lawyers Program at the Spokane County Bar Association. Addison plans to attend law school following his year of service and eventually become a public defender.

 

 

Lindsay Kugel (she/her) graduated in 2020 with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology from Creighton University. She loves spending quality time with friends and family, hiking, hammocking, running and general adventuring. Her favorite fun facts to share about herself are that she loves to SCUBA dive and can’t feel a portion of her upper lip because of jaw surgery she had in high school. Lindsay is super excited to be serving with L’Arche Spokane as a House Support/Care Giver & Meaningful Day Program Specialist!

 

 

Meghan Sullivan (she/her) was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and lived there for ten years before moving to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the latter 11 years of her life, and she currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. She recently graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama where she ran track and cross country and majored in English with two minors in Political Science and Theology. She is excited to be serving with Catholic Charites of Eastern Washington – St. Margaret’s Shelter as their Resident Volunteer Coordinator this year!
